Ravens hire Cameron; Know Not What This NFL Sunday Ticket Thing Is.

The Baltimore Ravens hired a new offensive coordinator Wednesday, and to some it might be a bit of a surprise.

Cam Cameron will join Baltimore’s coaching staff, despite winning just one game this season as a head coach with the Miami Dolphins. For most, one win might not inspire much confidence. The Ravens, however, didn’t see it that way. In fact, they apparently didn’t see much of anything this season. When asked about Cameron’s rocky first season as a head coach, Ozzie Newsome seemed perplexed.

“We don’t make a habit of following other teams games,” the Ravens GM stated. “If I had to guess, I’d say Cam probably coached that Dolphins team to something like 10 or 11 wins, right? One? Really? Who’d they beat? Oh. Hmm. Well, it’s not like we were a push-over this year.”

He apparently doesn’t watch any of his own games, either. Brian Billick was fired as Ravens head coach this year after his team finished the season 5-11; one of those losses being the Dolphins lone victory. But still, Newsome stands behind his decision.

“We look forward to this season, with Jim and Cam running our offense,” he said. “What do you mean, ‘Jim who?’ Jim Harbaugh. What? Oh. Really? Whatever. John. John Harbaugh. Can I go now?”

Speaking of people being happy, Cam Cameron couldn’t be reached for comment, but was last sighted a week ago doing a shoot for an upcoming Careerbuilder.com commercial. As always, Apartment 718 will try and track him down for the exclusive interview.
