The French Do Something Right For A Change

You know how some guys have some ridiculous thing against wearing a condom? Like, if they whip one out in the middle of hooking up with a girl, it’s going to kill the mood or something. Yea, I’ve never had that fear. My fear has always revolved around three simple words:

“It’s your baby.”

Not convinced that their people were strong-willed enough to resist temptation, the French decided to launch a campaign to warn people about the dangers of unprotected sex…

…and, apparently, scare the shit out of everyone in the process.

(Note: This is a few years old, but as someone who works in advertising, I have to acknowledge a concept this cool, no matter how old. So yea, you should also check out their campaign from 2002.)

A Moller Mishap

A few days ago, I posted the Randy Moller goal call video. While that may’ve been 229 seconds of absolute hilarity, it seems the Dan Le Batard show left out one of Moller’s most unintentionally funny goal calls ever. I can’t find audio of this anywhere on the internet–and that’s probably for the best–but I know for a fact that earlier in the season, he used a line from Something About Mary.

More specifically, he used this line:

We’ve got a bleeder!!!

Now, I’m sure things get pretty hectic in the booth during games, so there isn’t much rational thought that goes into picking which movie line is going to be blurted out for which goal, but, perhaps that might be something Randy picks a bit more carefully from now on. The player who scored the goal moments before Moller blurted out that awesome line…

…wait for it…

…wait for it…

Richard Zednik. (Yes, that Richard Zednik.)

If anyone can find the audio of this, I’d be forever indebted to you. Especially since I’d like to make it my ringtone.
